The Historic District Commission is a permanent commission appointed by the Selectmen. The Commission reviews additions and/or modifications to properties within the Historic District. It holds public hearings on applications for Certificates of Appropriateness for these projects to determine the appropriateness of such alterations. The Commission offers advice on proposed alterations to historic properties. It also nominates properties to the National Register of Historic Places. Guidelines for all of these purposes can be found in the Commission's Rules and Regulations.
